A MESSAGE FROM MIKE PEHL
Dear Parents and Students:
As you probably know, I’ve been teaching Driver Education to students in the Twin Cities area for many years now. I never expected to have that kind of career, but it’s a great thing to discover your calling, even when it’s a surprise. It’s even better to know that you’re serving a good purpose with the work you do.
It’s been an honor to have the trust of so many families over the years and it has been my pleasure to teach so many teens. I know the defensive driving knowledge and skills they’ve learned can help keep them safe on the road for a lifetime. That’s always been my goal.
With all that said, it’s finally time for me to ease into retirement and I’ve arranged with Safeway Driving School to allow that. I chose Safeway because of its rigorous curriculum, well-trained instructors and excellent reputation. In fact, 15 metro-area school districts have also chosen Safeway for their teen driver’s education program, including the Osseo school district, so I’m in good company.
If you are an existing student, Safeway will complete your behind-the-wheel lessons. Please call Safeway at 651-351-9150 to confirm and verify your contact information and to schedule behind-the-wheel lessons.
If you are a prospective student, please consider Safeway. They do after school and summer classes at Maple Grove, Osseo and Park Center Senior High Schools. You can see the schedule of those classes here. Safeway also has a classroom location at I-494 and Bass Lake Road with evening and summer classes. The schedule of those classes can be seen here. I can recommend Safeway without reservations.
I’m excited about the opportunity to collaborate with Safeway as a consulting advisor. This new relationship with their company is a great way for me to retire while staying connected to what’s always been my personal mission: helping teens become “Smarter, Safer Drivers.”
